That's the life by sifu That's the life by sifu
I actually missed this shot first time around...Saw this guy walking in from a surf and knew what shot I had to try, didn't get a good one though and so I went up and introduced myself to the surfer and asked him to walk back out and in...he was happy to oblige, 2nd time - no mistakes.

Nope no ND filter, although you are right, a graduated one would have been nice here....

It's surprising how many strangers are happy to help out when a photographer asks. A little tidbit that makes me feel better about society.

Excellent movement and line form. Silhouette draws focus and the highlights aren't blown. Great exposure.

Oh, and I've always appreciated how your watermarks draw their color from that of the image. It's tiny, but color schemes are the one little extra step that makes it better. And it's not as offensive because it blends in.

Cheers, and yeah - I always hate watermarks on pics, so I try to make mine as unobtrusive as possible - I want them to blend in as much as they can while still enabling people that save my images and want to find more of my work at a later date a method to search me out.

Great blues!!

I particularly like the little splash of water from the wave nearest the camera!

Thanks Ed, yeah that little splash actually ended up more prominent than I thought it would - getting hom and checking out the image properly it was one of those pleasent little surprises.

I'm kind of a nut for details... i actually noticed the splash before really appreciating the whole picture!

But it's really great! All of it!

But that splash.... it's just the icing on the cake!
